About Me

I grew up in Southern California and now make my home in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am a product of public schools and graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a  B.A. in Art History. I received M.A. degrees in Art History from the University of Toronto and the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. After a career in  arts education and raising two children, I transitioned into the field of college consulting.

I completed a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from U.C. Irvine and am a graduate of IECA's Summer Training Institute. I am a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), and the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP). In 2018, I became a Certified Educational Planner (CEP), which is the highest level of professional certification in the field of college consulting.

Committed to service, in 2021 I was proud to complete my training and become sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). In this volunteer role, I advocate on behalf of foster youth in Contra Costa County.

Since 2013, I have sought to support and encourage hundreds of students, both privately and in public school settings, as they embark on the college process.
